It is important that we individually
and collectively take action
- To show respect and extend friendship to all, regardless
of sexual orientation, who choose to live a chaste life
either inside of marriage or outside of marriage.23
- To show respect and to extend kindness to those who, regardless
of sexual orientation, choose not to live a chaste life.
(One can show respect without abandoning one's values.)
- To support and encourage marriage, by offering friendship
and assistance to families in need. All families from time
to time need support and encouragement from other family
members, friends, and congregations and parishes.
- To educate young people on the importance of fidelity
and commitment in marriage.
